Centers for Disease Control
This site provides a wealth of information about CDC activities of relevance for adolescence. This includes the results of past and current Youth Risk Behavior Surveys; progress of year 2000 objectives; surveillance reports on behavioral health risk factors, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases among others; a wide variety of health information fact sheets and data summaries; travelers' health information; and a publications list. Links connect to CDC Wonder (http://wonder.cdc.gov) for statistical data sets, reports, and guidelines, and for searching and retrieving articles from MMWR; and to the National Center for Health Statistics (http://www.cdc.gov/nchswww) for NCHS surveys and data sets.
Division of Adolescent and School Health
The mission of DASH (the CDC's Division of Adolescent and School Health) is to identify the highest priority health risks among youth; monitor the incidence and prevalence of these risks; implement national programs to prevent adverse outcomes; and evaluate and improve these programs. This site provides a wide range of statistical data about teens including Leading Causes of Morbidity and Mortality, results of past and current Youth Health Risk Behavior Surveys, the most recent YHRBS questionnaire itself; and Adolescent Health: State of the Nation—Reproductive Health Outcomes. Other site pages include a discussion of CDC's role in and detailed guidelines for school health programs and school health education relative to reducing risk behaviors.

Healthy Youth Development Prevention Research Center
The Division is home to Minnesota's Healthy Youth Development • Prevention Research Center (HYD-PRC), one of the premier sites in the country for adolescent health research. At the HYD•PRC researchers are learning about the best methods for providing teens with the necessary skills and opportunities to live healthy and meaningful lives. The center is also learning how to reduce health disparities that exist among Minnesota's young people.
International Association for Adolescent Health
The IAAH is a multidisciplinary, non-government organization with a broad focus on youth health. This site describes IAAH principles, organizational issues, conference schedules, and activities. The current IAAH newsletter also is available on-line.
Journal of Adolescent Health
This is the official JAH home page. The full text of special articles and abstracts of other articles are available on-line beginning with the July 1998 issue. Instructions for authors and other editorial information also are provided.
National Adolescent Health Information Center

Institute for Youth Development
The IYD is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that promotes risk avoidance relative to alcohol, drugs, sex and violence. It provides parents, youth workers, and government and community leaders with information and resources on communicating risk-avoidance messages to youth; conducts original research and compiles outside research on youth attitudes, beliefs, perceptions and behavior; contributes to public policy; and evaluates current government and private programs addressing these issues. Site contains descriptive info about IYD and a publications list for ordering online. Also has an extensive links section and an option to subscribe to Youth Connections, IYD's bi-monthly magazine for free.
