Rocky Mountain Regional Chapter
The Rocky Mountain Regional Chapter has approximately 80 multidisciplinary members. The 2011 Executive Committee reflects the multidisciplinary composition of its membership. They are:

- Lynn Wimett, NP, Membership Chair
- Rosemary Spense, RN, Immunization Liaison
- Alma Lanz, Multidisciplinary and Legislative Liaison
The Executive Committee meets four times a year to plan educational meetings and the annual spring dinner meeting. Sub-committees are formed to meet special planning needs throughout the year. The Hot Topics in Adolescent Medicine Conference sub-committee reports to the Executive Committee during the conference planning stage. RM-SAHM holds an annual Board Retreat in the fall.
Meetings held in 2010 were:
- 01-28-10: The adolescent male: Decreasing High-Risk Behaviors
- 04-20-10: Annual Spring Dinner Meeting with the presentation of the 2010 Kathleen Ann Mullen Award to First Lady Jeannie Ritter for outstanding leadership and advocacy in the field of mental health for all youth.
- 08-19-10: Pediatric and Adolescent Sports Injuries: Pearls and Pitfalls
- 10-22-10: 5th Annual Hot Topics in Adolescent Health Conference held
at the Children's Hospital. 62 participants from multiple
disciplines were in attendance.
The RM-SAHM nominee for the 2010 SAHM Regional Chapter Recognition Award was Jennifer Mankey. Ms. Mankey was recognized for this award at the 1-27-10 educational meeting.
During 2010, Category I CMEs and CEUs were given for attendance to the educational meetings. CMEs were provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians.
RM-SAHM communicates with its members and friends through a web-based e-group system, which is sent to approximately 250 adolescent practitioners in this region.
