March 13-16, 2013
Omni Hotel at CNN Center, Atlanta, Georgia, USA

"The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being..." (WHO Constitution)

The SAHM Annual Meeting is the premier, multidisciplinary, educational event in adolescent medicine and health. The meeting offers innovative research, clinical workshops and discussion forums for attendees of diverse disciplines and from around the world.

The theme for the 2013 SAHM Annual Meeting, We Can All Be Healthy: Achieving Health Equity for Adolescents and Young Adults, allows us to reframe the issues of health equity and actively focus on achieving health for all youth by addressing the social determinants of health. We can achieve health equity through our hard work – through research, education, healthcare, empowerment and public policy. Further, it is time to empower ourselves, and importantly our youth, to reach health equity.

Thank you to everyone who made the SAHM 2013 Annual Meeting in Atlanta such a success: attendees, authors, presenters, volunteers, sponsors and exhibitors.

A special thank you to Elsevier, sponsor of the 2013 Gallagher lecture; Pfizer, Satellite Symposium sponsor; and American Institutes for Research, sponsors of the Shine the Light! deepsouth program.
