Los Angeles, CA
Thank you to everyone who attended the SAHM 2015 Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, CA! The meeting was a success thanks to all the presenters, volunteers, exhibitors, supporters, and attendees who contributed to great learning, networking and collaboration.
Our theme for the 2015 Annual Meeting was "Embracing Transitions: Promoting Health Through Adolescence and Young Adulthood." Adolescence and young adulthood are characterized by major transitions in many domains including physical and emotional development, family and peer relationships, health risk exposures, health care transitions, and role in society. During this meeting, we explored the important role that transition plays in health and well-being from adolescence to young adulthood and how adolescent health professionals can capitalize on the strengths of adolescents and young adults to support them through these changes.
