Overview

SAHM's membership comprises a wide range of professional disciplines. The diversity of their health professions enables members to collaborate and communicate across disciplinary lines. Members work in the fields of medicine, nursing, psychology, public health, social work, nutrition, education and law.

Also, SAHM members work in a variety of settings - including academic institutions, private practices, school-based health centers, college health centers, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Members reside in all regions of the United States (SAHM has 19 regional chapters) and more than 30 countries worldwide.
