Advocates for Youth
Advocates for Youth (formerly Center for Population Options) provides information, training, and advocacy to youth-serving organizations, policy makers, and the media with the goal of promoting policies which help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. This site, targeted at professionals, parents, and teens, described AY's organizational structure, activities and services; and provides a list of publications with ordering information.
Campaign For Our Children
Campaign For Our Children is a non-profit organization designed to reduce the incidence of teenage pregnancies in Maryland. Site contents, however, are of broader interest in providing national and state-by-state statistics on children; information on effective education programs teacher and parent resources; links to related Web sites; and a list of innovative publications and products including TV sports, posters, and billboard and bus materials.
Health Initiatives for Youth
HI-FY (Health Initiatives for Youth) is an independence, non-proft organization with the goal of establishing a partnership between youth and adults to increase the availability and quality of health care for young people, particularly those with IDS/HIV. Although focusing on San Francisco youth, HI-FY also acts nationally though youth empowerment programs, health care professional training, and advocacy for improved systems of care by means of publications, magazines, presentations, community organizing and outreach, and information dissemination. The site describes programs and resources.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America
PPFA is committed to service, advocacy, education and research on human reproduction and sexuality. In addition to public policy and political action news, this site offers a variety of fact sheets and brief reports of interest to both professionals and the public. Topics include emergency contraception, chemical abortifacients, relevant Supreme Court rulings, and teen pregnancy statistics, among others. Consumer guides in both English and Spanish also are on-lne and cover such topics as reproductive health, birth control, abortion, STDs, help for teens, and guides for parents. PPFA's publications list, a roster of regional affiliates, and an extensive links page are available as well.
ReCAPP
Prevention (ReCAPP), sponsored by ETR Associates (Education, Training and Research) is designed for health educators and program coordinators.
SIECUS
SIECUS develops, collects, and disseminates information on human sexuality, promotes comprehensive education in the field, and advocates the right of individuals to make responsible sexual choices. Annotated bibliographies, the current issue of Advocates Report, fact sheets on adolescent sexuality issues, parents' publications (some in Spanish), and other related information are all available on-line.
Alan Guttmacher Institute
The AGI undertakes research, policy analysis, public education and related action with the goal of preventing unintended pregnancies, guaranteeing freedom to terminate unwanted pregnancies, and supporting healthy, wanted pregnancies. This site provides extensive information on adolescent reproductive issues through policy papers, statistical fact sheets, and extended special reports including information on teen sexuality, contraception and pregnancy. The full texts of ed articles from the current issue of Family Planning Perspectives also are on-line.
Association of Reproductive Health Professionals
The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals is a multi-disciplinary organization for health and education professionals involved with reproductive health issues. Medical education is ARHP’s primary focus.
Adolescent Wellness and Reproductive Education Foundation
The AWARE foundation focuses on educating and empowering adolescents to make responsible decisions regarding their wellness, sexuality, and reproductive health. The site provides information for professionals, parents and teens. Articles for teens cover health screening, why some teens want to be pregnant, and signs of depression. The parents' section gives information on puberty, talking to teens about sex, and several women's health articles. Of interest to professionals are a "how-to" guide for introducing teens into one's practice, information on chlamydia and GC, violence among teens, and evaluating pelvic pain.
Data Archive on Adolescent Pregnancy and Pregnancy Prevention
The DAAPPP of the US Office of Population Affairs is a repository for data on teenage sexual behavior including pregnancy, contraception, behavioral factors, and STDs. Data sets from over 130 studies published since the late 1970's (many of them longitudinal) were ed as being among the best in the field by a national panel of experts. These data sets are briefly described and may be ordered on-line in several different formats.

Youth In Developing Countries
FOCUS on Young Adults
FOCUS is a Pathfinder International program in partnership with The Futures Groups International and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Its goal is to improve the health and well-being of young adults in developing countries through the creation and strengthening of effective reproductive health initiatives. Information about the program, a series of four-page briefs on ed issues in young adult reproductive health, and a training module are online.
