Curriculum: Cyberbullying: Understanding and Addressing Online Cruelty
Anti-Defamation League, 2008
This lesson plan’s purpose is to increase awareness and empathy among students with regard to cyberbullying and online social cruelty. Students are encouraged to reevaluate their own online behavior and to explore their collective civic responsibility to make the Internet safer. Students are challenged to analyze how social norms contribute to negative online behavior, and to design a campaign to reshape these norms in their school community.

This report presents information related to several types of violence. This report also provides the first ever simultaneous national and state-level prevalence estimates of violence for all states. A Communications Toolkit (2011) is also available that outlines basic elements for effective communications initiatives to promote the data presented in the survey.

The goal of the AHRQ-funded project, Youth Providers 2.0 (YP2.0), is to improve the use of evidence-based practices among health care providers caring for adolescents and young adults. To accomplish this goal, SAHM will engage in a number of activities using new media to improve the dissemination of patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) to health professionals.
