About the webinar:
Multipurpose prevention technologies, or MPTs, have been used in public health for decades, and in the field of contraception for years. Simple innovations include adding iron to birth control pills (prevent pregnancy and anemia), or male and female condoms that in concept prevent both pregnancy and STIs.  This presentation will discuss current MPTs available in other countries, innovative concepts that appeal locally and abroad, and MPTs currently under development.

Learning objectives:
After the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
  1. Define MPTs, or multipurpose prevention technologies.
  2. Describe existing MPTs used globally today.
  3. Discuss briefly MPTs under development.
(This is a non-CME/CE event.)
