The
National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities
NICHCY is a national information and
referral center that provides information on disabilities
and disability-related issues for families, educators, and
other professionals. A wide variety of related fact sheets
and briefing papers are on line including education rights,
transitioning youth, and student guides to jobs. NICHCY also
provides individuals with answers to their questions and with
referrals to other helpful resources.
The
Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services
A
division of the US Dept of Education, OSERS supports programs
that assist in educating children with special needs, provides
for the rehabilitation of youth and adults with disabilities,
and supports related research. Online resources include information
on the Individuals with Disabilities Act; OSERS programs in
the realms of education, rehabilitation and research; projects;
and grants.
