GLSEN
is an organization devoted to developing respect, acceptance
and understanding of gay and lesbian youth and ending discrimination
in schools. Activities encompass developing curricular materials,
teacher training, advocacy among school leaders, and support
of a chapter network including nearly 400 high school-based
Gay/Straight Alliances. This site provides on-line fact sheets;
the GLSEN newsletter; school and community tools; resource materials
for youth; information on legal matters, fundraising, teachers,
and athletics; and organizational details.
