Adolescent Health On-Line
Sponsored by the American Medical Association, this site includes details about the AMA Guidelines for Adolescent Preventive Services (GAPS); a publications list; abstracts of selected recent reports, journal articles, and news releases; and an extensive list of links for professionals, parents and teens.

British Society for Adolescent Health and Welfare
This is the home page of the BSAHW and The Youth Support Forum on Adolescent Health and Welfare, a British support network and professional group linking together all those interested in working with teenagers.

Centers for Disease Control
This site provides a wealth of information about CDC activities of relevance for adolescence. This includes the results of past and current Youth Risk Behavior Surveys; progress of year 2000 objectives; surveillance reports on behavioral health risk factors, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases among others; a wide variety of health information fact sheets and data summaries; travelers' health information; and a publications list. Links connect to CDC Wonder (http://wonder.cdc.gov) for statistical data sets, reports, and guidelines, and for searching and retrieving articles from MMWR; and to the National Center for Health Statistics (http://www.cdc.gov/nchswww) for NCHS surveys and data sets.

Division of Adolescent and School Health
The mission of DASH (the CDC's Division of Adolescent and School Health) is to identify the highest priority health risks among youth; monitor the incidence and prevalence of these risks; implement national programs to prevent adverse outcomes; and evaluate and improve these programs. This site provides a wide range of statistical data about teens including Leading Causes of Morbidity and Mortality, results of past and current Youth Health Risk Behavior Surveys, the most recent YHRBS questionnaire itself; and Adolescent Health: State of the Nation—Reproductive Health Outcomes. Other site pages include a discussion of CDC's role in and detailed guidelines for school health programs and school health education relative to reducing risk behaviors.

International Association for Adolescent Health
The IAAH is a multidisciplinary, non-government organization with a broad focus on youth health. This site describes IAAH principles, organizational issues, conference schedules, and activities. The current IAAH newsletter also is available on-line.

Journal of Adolescent Health
This is the official JAH home page. The full text of special articles and abstracts of other articles are available on-line beginning with the July 1998 issue. Instructions for authors and other editorial information also are provided.

National Adolescent Health Resource Center
The NAHRC (from the Univ. Minnesota's Division of Pediatrics and funded by MCH) provides assistance in adolescent health information collection. This site gives considerable on-line technical advice about how to conduct an adolescent health survey as well as information about the NAHRC and its services.  Most NAHRC information packets and sample products such as monographs and survey instruments are available free-of-charge for single copies (although there is no on-line list of these products). In-depth technical consultation and assistance are available on a contractual basis.

National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health
Sometimes referred to as AddHealth, the NLSAH is a project of the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina. This site contains a searchable database of publications with abstracts from either the NLSAH or the entire CPC. Information also is provided on Add Health national data sets for both unrestricted public-use and for contractual restricted-access when the specific data set introduces the possibility of deductive respondent identity disclosure.

Teaching Immunization Delivery and Evaluation (TIDE)
This curriculum is designed to give faculty and practitioners a flexible tool to teach and learn immunization delivery and evaluation.  The main goal of this curriculum is to improve knowledge, attitudes and skills that are likely to change provider behavior in clinical settings, leading to increased immunization rates for children.
