risk factors, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases among

Division
of Adolescent and School Health
The mission of DASH (the CDC's Division
of Adolescent and School Health) is to identify the highest
priority health risks among youth; monitor the incidence and
prevalence of these risks; implement national programs to
prevent adverse outcomes; and evaluate and improve these programs.
This site provides a wide range of statistical data about
teens including Leading Causes of Morbidity and Mortality,
results of past and current Youth Health Risk Behavior
Surveys, the most recent YHRBS questionnaire itself; and
Adolescent Health: State of the Nation—Reproductive Health
Outcomes. Other site pages include a discussion of CDC's
role in and detailed guidelines for school health programs
and school health education relative to reducing risk behaviors.
International
Association for Adolescent Health

National
Adolescent Health Resource Center
The NAHRC (from the Univ. Minnesota's
Division of Pediatrics and funded by MCH) provides assistance
in adolescent health information collection. This site gives
considerable on-line technical advice about how to conduct
an adolescent health survey as well as information about the
NAHRC and its services. Most NAHRC information packets
and sample products such as monographs and survey instruments
are available free-of-charge for single copies (although there
is no on-line list of these products). In-depth technical
consultation and assistance are available on a contractual
basis.

the NLSAH is a project of the Carolina Population Center at
the University of North Carolina. This site contains a searchable
database of publications with abstracts from either the NLSAH
or the entire CPC. Information also is provided on Add Health
national data sets for both unrestricted public-use and for
contractual restricted-access when the specific data set introduces
the possibility of deductive respondent identity disclosure.
Teaching
Immunization Delivery and Evaluation (TIDE)
This curriculum is designed to give
faculty and practitioners a flexible tool to teach and learn
immunization delivery and evaluation. The main goal
of this curriculum is to improve knowledge, attitudes and
skills that are likely to change provider behavior in clinical
settings, leading to increased immunization rates for children.
