Information Center
A service if the National Criminal Justice Reference Service,
this site offers a wide range of information about courts,
crime prevention, criminal justice statistics, victims, and
the like. A page devoted to juvenile justice contains a number
of related fact sheets such as delinquency prevention, gangs,
missing and exploited children, and violence and victimization.
National
Youth Gang Center
The purpose of the NYGC is to expand and maintain the body
of critical knowledge about youth gangs and effective responses
to them. The Center assists state and local jurisdictions
in the collection, analysis, and exchange of information on
gang-related demographics, legislation, literature, research,
and promising program strategies. It also coordinates activities
of the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
Preventions' Youth Gang Consortium—a group of federal agencies,
gang program representatives, and other service providers.
On-line reports and data include The National Youth Gang
Survey Program, The Youth Gang Consortium Survey of Gang Programs,
and gang-related legislation listed by subject and by state.

From the U.S. Department of Justice, this site provides reference
materials for professionals and parents on delinquency prevention,
gangs, missing and exploited children, substance abuse, and
violence. Downloadable or on-line data include statistics,
charts, tables and reports on related topics; data sets for
juvenile arrests, court processing, and homicide; and resources
links to related agencies and organizations.
