Midwest Regional Chapter

The Midwest Regional chapter of the Society for Adolescent Medicine is a group of health professionals interested in the well being of adolescents. Our membership covers the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Currently, most of our active members are affiliated with medical training program, but anyone involved in the health care of young people is welcome.

Because our chapter covers a large geographic area, meetings are limited to two per year. Our spring business meeting is held during the annual national SAM meeting. In the fall, we hold a more educational meeting with continuing education credits usually offered. The fall meeting location is rotated among cities in our region, with it being held every other year in Kansas City. Through use of the new chapter list serve, our chapter hopes to become more active by increasing communication between members and forwarding opportunities for educational activities. Chapter dues are $25 and allow us to bring in speakers for our meetings.
