New Jersey Regional Chapter

The New Jersey Society for Adolescent Medicine is a multidisciplinary organization comprised of physicians, social workers, nurses, psychologists and students. We are devoted to improving adolescent health in New Jersey.  The Chapter was reorganized in 1998.  We have had a spring and fall meeting each year, and hold an additional meeting at the national SAM conference in March. We welcome all New Jersey professionals interested in adolescent medicine; you can join the local chapter without being a member of the national SAM. Dues are $25.00 per year.

Objectives

  1. To foster and stimulate the highest quality of healthcare for adolescents and young adults; to increase understanding of the adolescent period of growth and development

  2. To promote adolescent health care, foster communication among professionals who care for adolescents and young adults, and encourage cooperative projects in healthcare delivery, continuing professional education, and clinical research.

  3. To act as a source of information and referral for adolescent health care, education, and advocacy in New Jersey.

  4. To provide a network for referral of adolescents for health care.
