Overview

SAM provides an ongoing forum for the discussion of adolescent health research and scholarship. Each month, SAM publishes the Journal of Adolescent Health, which contains peer-reviewed articles on clinical medicine, international health, public health policy, behavioral science and youth development.

Due to the high quality of research conducted, promoted and disseminated by its members, SAM can also help identify and interpret trends in adolescent health and health care. Because adolescent health concerns stretch far beyond the research lab and office setting, SAM is committed to creating partnerships with organizations outside the health field, such as schools and youth development programs, in order to advance the health and well-being of all adolescents.
