Center
for Health and Health Care in Schools
The Center for Health and Health Care in Schools (CHHCS) is
a nonpartisan policy and program resource center located at
The George Washington University School of Public Health and
Health Services, which works with institutional leaders, state
officials and clinical providers “to maximize outcomes for
children through more effective health programming in schools.”
The website features policy analyses and program guidance
on organizing and financing school health programs, news briefs,
information about grants, quality improvement programs and
forms, and an E-journal on emerging issues.
Making
the Grade
MTG is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
in support of state-community partnerships to establish comprehensive
school-based health centers. This site provides a bibliography
of recent SBHC articles (some with full text online); selected
state, county, and city reports; SBHC information papers such
as implementation tools, services, costs, financing, managed
care, effectiveness, and standards of care/quality assurance;
and a list of resources in states with and without MTG
programs.
National
Assembly on School-Based Health Care
The NASBHC promotes school-based primary health and mental
health care for children and youth through community, state,
and national advocacy, information and knowledge exchange,
networking opportunities, and technical assistance. The site
includes on-line reports on standards and guidelines for school-based
health centers; school-based health center statistics; financing
information; evaluation information; and an annotated list
of references to recent relevant literature with ordering
information.
