The IYD is a non-partisan, non-profit
organization that promotes risk avoidance relative to alcohol,
drugs, sex and violence. It provides parents, youth workers,
and government and community leaders with information and
resources on communicating risk-avoidance messages to youth;
conducts original research and compiles outside research on
youth attitudes, beliefs, perceptions and behavior; contributes
to public policy; and evaluates current government and private
programs addressing these issues. Site contains descriptive
