Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Special Interest Groups (SIG) fall under the auspices of the Program Committee. The purpose of SIG's is to allow health professionals with common interests to explore specific topic areas in clinical care, research, and public health. These sessions provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and network as well as for development of collaborative clinical or research projects.
The Board of Directors has declared leadership in SIG's as the first level of SAHM Leadership. Presently, there are 33 SIG's and they meet during SAHM's annual conference.
