Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
Special Interest Groups (SIG) fall under the auspices of the Program Committee. The purpose of SIGS is to allow health professionals with common interests to explore specific topic areas in clinical care, research, and public health. These sessions provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and network as well as for development of collaborative clinical or research projects.
The Board of Directors has declared leadership in SIGs as the first level of SAM Leadership. Presently there are 33 SIGS and they met during the 2009 Annual Meeting.
