SAHM signed onto a Family Planning Coalition organizational sign-on letter requesting $327 million for the Title X family planning program in the 2015 fiscal year budget.

Letter to U.S. Senators in support of continued funding of Medicaid pay parity program
SAHM has signed on in support of the Ensuring Access to Primary Care for Women and Children Act, which ensures that physicians practicing in the specialties of family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine, as well as related internal medicine and pediatric subspecialists, continue to receive Medicare-level reimbursement rates for providing primary care and immunization services to patients enrolled in Medicaid.

Opposition to Conference Accountability Act of 2014

SAHM joined other scientific organizations in opposing a Congressional act that would limit the availability of funding for federal employees to attend scientific conferences and meetings, as well as limit the amount of money available to support scientific meetings. SAHM believes this could threaten scientific progress, handicap research and minimize collaboration among professionals.
