Voices of the Unheard: Embracing Transitions and Promoting Wellbeing Throughout Adolescence and Young Adulthood

The Southern California Chapter of SAHM and the Spirit Awakening Foundation invite all SAHM members and meeting registrants to attend this unique theatrical presentation. Featuring Spirit Awakening Youth, members of SoCal SAHM, and invited guest artists, the program will feature spoken word celebrating the original written works of youth detained in the L.A. County juvenile justice system.

USC Engemann Student Health Center Tour

USC Campus, Engemann Student Health Center

The Engemann Student Health Center has been described as “one of the more impressive ambulatory health centers.” The facility was featured recently on the cover of the Journal of American College Health as an example of advanced, integrated services. SAHM attendees are invited to enjoy a tour of this state-of-the-art facility, led by Lawrence Neinstein, MD, (SAHM Past President and Executive Director of the student health center)  as well as other Engemann staff and faculty.

Opened in 2013, the center encompasses 105,000 square feet and six stories. It has accommodated more than 100,000 visits per year of young adults from the USC campus. View a slide show of the Engemann Student Health Center.

Bus transportation will be provided for attendees, departing the hotel around 8:15 a.m. and returning by 10:30 a.m.

Participation is free, but registration is required. You may reserve your spot on the tour through SAHM's meeting registration system.
