Bridging the gap between “bench and bedside” requires collaborations across healthcare sectors through translational science. Translational science is the effort to translate research into pragmatic clinical practice and public health efforts. This allows clinical practice to draw from and inform that which is researched. The bidirectional relationship between research and practice encompasses SAHM’s mission statement of advancing clinical practice, delivery of care, research, advocacy, and professional development.

Please note: Submissions do not have to tie into this year’s theme and will not receive credit or extra points based on connection to the theme.

Please review the revised rubric before submitting your proposal.

Virtual Considerations: We recognize the pandemic is ongoing and public health guidance is still evolving. SAHM is monitoring events closely and will adjust the annual meeting plans as needed to ensure the safety of all attendees. Our priority is to hold an in-person meeting; however, we are exploring virtual options for attendees and presenters. All speakers at the meeting are expected to present in person. We understand this may not be possible for all individuals due to equity-related issues, such as health or travel restrictions. If it is suspected that a presenter will be unable to attend in person due to issues of access or equity, please email Jennifer Lanphere at [email protected] prior to proposal submission.
